  • Connected scan tool and checked vehicle for error codes. Found codes P0089-64(Fuel Pressure Regulator) and P0442(Small Evap Leak). Low fuel light was on. Added fuel and tested fuel system operation. ECM is up to date and fuel pressure sensor is within spec. Checked fuel pressure in line and confirmed low fuel pressure matches sensor readings. Recommend replacement of fuel pump assembly as first step. During refueling, heard noise coming from fuel tank, which may be cause of EVAP code. Removed lower covers and trim to access fuel tank. Supported tank on jack and removed mounting straps. Lowered tank to access wiring and hoses. Disconnected all connections and removed tank from vehicle. Removed original fuel pump assembly and replaced with new unit. Installed new tank seal with pump. Reinstalled fuel tank and connected all lines and wiring. Replaced fuel filter while tank was removed. Bled air from fuel system and cleared error codes. Test drove vehicle after completion of all repairs. Fuel pressure readings now within spec, and no error codes stored nor pending.
  • During vehicle inspection, noted coolant was low and coolant residue was present at rear of motor. Added water to system and pressure tested system. Found crossover pipe (officially referred to as the heater manifold) leaking coolant. Recommend replacement of leaking assembly. Removed engine covers, wiper assemblies, and cowl panels. Removed intake piping. Drained cooling system. Disconnected hoses and sensor wiring from manifold assembly. Removed heater manifold and cleaned mounting surfaces. Installed new manifold with supplied o-rings. Reconnected wiring and heater hoses. Reinstalled intake, cowl, wipers, and covers. Filled cooling system and pressure tested. No leaks and no loss of pressure while cold. Bled cooling system and test drove vehicle. Reinspected after test drive. Coolant level steady and no coolant residue present on engine or manifold.

  • Performed 4 wheel alignment. Test drive vehicle after repairs to confirm handling characteristics.
  • Removed upper trunk trim panel and 3rd brake light from hatch. Removed and replaced all brake light bulbs. Reinstalled brake light housing and tested operation. All bulbs now working. Reinstalled trim cover.
  • Removed interior trunk trim on passenger side to access tail light mounting hardware. Removed tail light housing and checked bulbs. Found brake light burnt out. Replaced bulb and checked operation. All exterior lights now operational. Reinstalled taillight housing and interior trim.
  • Supported hatch and removed original trunk struts. Installed new studs into body and hatch mounting points. Installed new struts onto ball studs. Removed support and checked hatch operation. Hatch now opening normally and no longer falls if not supported.
  • Replace wiper blades on vehicle.
  • Removed front wheels and brake assemblies. Checked driver side caliper. Found piston stuck in extended position and unable to be collapsed. Replace front brake pad linings and replace front brake disc rotors. Replace brake calipers and slide mechanisms. Fill brake fluid. Bleed air from system. Road test vehicle. Brakes now working normally.

  • Test drove vehicle to verify customer concern. Light is not on at this time. Vehicle lacking power, and unable to rev past 4000rpm. Connected scan tool and checked history. Found random misfire code stored (P0300). Checked fuel and ignition systems. Both working normally. Checked intake for restriction. None found, but vacuum is weak. Removed oxygen sensor from front exhaust manifold to check back pressure. Found pressure around 2psi at idle and raising when engine is revved. Checked back pressure on rear oxygen sensor, and found same issue. Used bore scope on cats, found both manifold cats failed, and secondary cat clogged. Recommend replacement of all converters prior to any further diag.
  • Disconnected exhaust from rear cat. Disconnected exhaust hangers and oxygen sensors from catalyst assembly. Removed exhaust manifold hardware and removed converter assembly. After replacement of catalysts reinstalled assembly to vehicle. Reinstalled exhaust and connected wiring and hangers. Cleared error codes and test drove vehicle. No further lack of power nor check engine light. Emissions monitors set.
  • Removed failed catalytic converters from exhaust manifold and collector. Cleaned pipe connections and welded new converter cores into place. Checked exhaust for any leaks or seal issues. All ok.
  • Inspected right rear tire. Found screw in tire. Screw did puncture tire and is in non-repairable location. Recommend replacement of tire.
  • Remove wheels from vehicle. Inspect brakes. Computer spin balance. Reinstall wheels to vehicle and torque lug nuts to manufacturer's specifications.
  • State tire tax per tire.
  • Tire disposal fee per tire.

Installed new radiator and remounted brackets. Installed hoses and fan assembly. Filled and bled cooling system. Pressure tested cooling system. Pressure held, no leaks apparent. Test drove vehicle after completion of repairs and rechecked cooling system. Coolant level good and no leaks present.
  • Tested vehicle for customer concern. Found fan blowing, but there is noise from blower housing. Inspected blower motor housing and found
  • Steam clean vehicle to remove rodent residue and debris build up from engine bay.
  • Remove HVAC blower assembly. Remove debris from fan. Clean and sanitize blower and housing. Reinstall HVAC blower assembly.
  • Replace cabin filter element. Reassemble filter housing and access panels after cleaning.

  • Drain cooling system completely. Refill system with correct coolant. Bleed cooling system. Test drive to confirm proper cooling system operation. Top off coolant.
  • Removed front wheels. Disconnected sway bar end links from suspension mounting tabs. Removed links from sway bar assembly. Installed new end links to sway bar. Connected new links to suspension tabs.
  • Check brake fluid for moisture and contamination. Inspect all hydraulic line and hoses. Inspect calipers and wheel cylinders. Inspect master cylinder and cap. Drain and refill entire brake system including master cylinder, calipers, wheel cylinders. Bleed system until clean fluid is seen.

Moved steering wheel while holding horn button and was able to activate horn for a brief period of time. Checked codes in SRS module, code stored for communication with driver air bag. Suspect clock spring has failed and is not allowing power to/from horn and air bag. Removed steering column covers. Removed air bag from steering wheel and disconnected wiring. Removed steering wheel from column. Disconnected wiring to clock spring and removed from steering column. Installed new clock spring and reattached wiring. Reinstalled and tightened steering wheel. Connected air bag and reinstalled to steering wheel. Tested horn operation, horn now working. Cleared codes in SRS module and test started vehicle. SRS light now out. Test drove vehicle and checked horn operation. Horn working normally and no return of SRS light.

  • Supported trunk hatch and removed worn trunk struts. Installed new support struts and removed manual support. Hatch staying open. Closed hatch and opened. Hatch no longer closing on it's own and lifts normally after released.
