Check power steering fluid level and condition. Check belts; coolant, fuel, and vacuum hoses for damage/degradation. Check antenna operation (if applicable). Lube all doors and latches. Tighten door brake fasteners. Lube hood hinges and latch. Check differential fluid level. Check axle boots, CV joints, and/or U-Joints for damage. Check wheel bearings for play. Check parking brake operation. Check for fluid leaks. Check interior and exterior lights. Check wiper and washer jet operation. Check tire wear and condition. Set tire pressures to specification. Vacuum cowl. Check intake and cabin air filters. Test drive vehicle.
    • Inspected vehicle starting and charging systems. Found battery weak and not holding proper charge. Jump started vehicle and checked starter draw and alternator output. Starter draw is normal. Alternator output is slightly low (13.1 volts). Recommend replacement of battery before rechecking systems.
    • Install new battery. Clean cable ends. Perform battery adaptation to vehicle as needed. Retested starting and charging system. All readings ok.
    • Removed right license plate light and right tail lamp socket. Replaced upper brake light bulb in right tail light and right license plate light.

    • Inspected vehicle for customer concern. No error codes stored in engine nor transmission control modules. Found engine oil slightly low, and drivetrain noise present at times. Unable to duplicate power loss or burning smell. Rechecked transmission fluid and found fluid dark and some particulate present. Recommend replacement of transmission fluid as first step.
    • Drained transmission fluid. Inspected fluid for debris or contamination. Fluid is dark, but no excess clutch nor bearing material found in fluid. Refilled transmission with fresh fluid to spec. Cycled transmission through gears and rechecked level. Topped off fluid and reinstalled intake and battery components. Test drove vehicle 40+ miles. Engine running normally and no further drivetrain noise presented itself.

    • Matched new mirror glass and hardware to original pieces. Wiring to mirror glass was damaged. Soldered new connectors to existing mirror wiring. Installed mirror glass to adjuster mechanism. Installed turn signal bulb into new housing and installed housing to mirror. Reinstalled original mirror cover.
    • Customer states transmission feels like it's slipping. Check fluid level and transmission operation. Test drove vehicle to verify customer concern. Transmission feels soft, but no explicit slipping noted during test drive. Removed intake piping and checked transmission fluid. Found fluid slightly low, and fluid is dark. Recommend draining and filling transmission with fresh fluid. Raised vehicle and drained transmission fluid. Reinstalled drain plug and splash shield under vehicle. Filled transmission with fresh fluid and cycled through gears on lift with engine running. Topped off fluid and test drove vehicle. Transmission operating normally and no leaks present.

    • Removed upper and lower engine covers. Removed intake piping. Disconnected wiring and vacuum lines from pump. Removed pump and gasket. Cleaned mounting surface and installed new gasket and pump. Reconnected vacuum lines and wiring. Test drove vehicle and reinspected. No further evidence of leakage from pump.
    • Steam clean vehicle to remove oil residue and debris build up.
    • While engine covers were off removed battery tray and air filter housing. Removed tensioner cover. Loosened belt tensioner to remove belt from idler pulley. Removed engine cover bracket from AC compressor. Removed AC compressor and AC line hold down bolts. Moved compressor out of way and removed belt tensioner retaining bolt. Removed belt from engine and installed new belt. Reassembled tensioner, AC compressor, brackets, and battery tray.
