    • Remove and reinstall four wheels and rear brake drums (if applicable) to inspect brake condition. Inspect entire system for leaks. Test drive vehicle and check brake operation. Lining remaining is: Front ( 8mm) Rear ( 8mm). Test drove vehicle to try and replicate customer concern. Unable to duplicate issue on first test drive. Inspected brake system. Found brake fluid very dark and burnt smelling. All brake rotors are very dark from overheating. Scanned vehicle for error codes in brake system. Found codes present for lost communication in history, but no freeze frame data stored. Test drove vehicle a longer time and reinspected. Found right rear brake is hot. Removed rear wheel and checked brake and components. Found brake caliper is sticking, causing brakes to stay engaged. Removed brake caliper and found retraction of piston is not possible. Suspect brakes were serviced incorrectly and retraction mechanism was damaged. Caliper staying engaged is causing overheating of brake fluid which can cause pressure build up in brake system, engaging other brakes. Recommend replacement of front and rear brake rotors and pads, replacement of rear brake calipers, and changing brake fluid to correct brake overheating/binding issue.
