    • Check brake fluid for moisture and contamination. Inspect all hydraulic line and hoses. Inspect calipers and wheel cylinders. Inspect master cylinder and cap. Drain and refill entire brake system including master cylinder, calipers, wheel cylinders. Bleed system until clean fluid is seen.
    • Replace front brake pad linings and replace front brake disc rotors. Clean and lubricate brake calipers and slide mechanisms. Check and fill brake fluid. Bleed air from system. Road test vehicle.

    • Lowered exhaust system from rear of vehicle and supported on stand. Removed spare tire from vehicle. Removed lower cover from driver side of vehicle to access frame. Aligned hitch assembly with existing frame holes and installed one bolt per side to hold up assembly. Installed second vertical bolt per side and tightened until side mount holes line up with frame openings. Installed through bolts on both sides and torqued to spec. Torqued vertical bolts to spec. Reinstalled trim panel and spare tire. Checked for clearance on both, ok. Reinstalled exhaust onto hangers and checked for clearance, ok.

    • Inspected vehicle for customer complaints. Test drove vehicle to check for light and idle speed. Idle speed with AC on is just over 1000rpm, and drops occasionally. This is normal operating range for increased idle speed with AC engaged. Noted AC is not getting as cold as it should. Connected scan tool and checked for any error codes in history or current. No error codes stored or pending. Checked oil pressure in scan tool, pressure reading within normal range. Raised vehicle and inspected. Found oil filter is an economy brand which may be causing restriction or other issues with oiling system. Checked oil pressure switch, it is reading withing spec for internal resistance at this time, but is original. Recommend installing higher quality oil filter and new oil pressure gauge as first step. Removed oil filter and replaced with new part. Note: Correct filter for vehicle is much larger than filter that was installed. Possible filter was a restriction to oil flow due to size constraint. Disconnected oil pressure sender and removed from oil filter housing. Cleaned port and installed new sensor. Reconnected wiring. Started vehicle and topped off oil level. No oil pressure light returned even on test drive. Monitor vehicle for light to return. If light returns, further diagnosis will be required.

  • 2011 Hyundai Elantra Touring

    • Tested window switch for operation, all windows working except driver. Motor is audible in driver door, but glass is out of place and not moving. Removed inner door panels and trim to inspect vehicle. Found window regulator broken off of support panel and window. Recommend new window regulator and panel assembly. Removed retaining rivets for window regulator assembly. Disconnected window from regulator and removed regulator. Connected new regulator to window and installed into door. Replaced rivets with new hardware. Connected window switch and tested window operation. All windows working normally. Reinstalled interior trim and door panel. Test drove vehicle to check for improper door seal, rattles, or other issues. None present.
