- Install new battery. Clean cable ends. Perform battery adaptation to vehicle as needed. Reset clock and other electrical accessories. Retested electrical system, all ok.
- Lubricate and check chassis. Change oil and oil filter. Check air filter and breather filter. Check all fluid levels and tire pressures.
- Replace cabin filter element. Reassemble filter housing and access panel.
- Test drove vehicle to duplicate customer concern. Noise is speed dependent on vehicle motion, not engine speed. Suspect drivetrain or wheel bearing source. Lifted vehicle and checked components, found right rear wheel bearing very noisy when spun by hand. Recommend new hub assembly. Removed rear wheel and brake assembly. Disconnected control arm and removed hub assembly. Cleaned mounting surfaces and installed new hub. Reattached suspension and brake components. Reinstalled wheel. No further noise when spun by hand. Test drove vehicle after repairs, noise level is now at a normal level at highway speeds.
