    • Drained cooling system. Removed and replaced intake, engine covers, and cooling hoses to access thermostat and water pump. Confirmed thermostat stuck closed. Removed timing covers to access and replace timing belt and associated components. Replaced timing belt, water pump, and thermostat with new units and reassembled engine. Filled and bled cooling system. Test drove vehicle, operating temp reached in correct time, and fan was not on until temperature threshold was reached. Noted temp did keep rising during drive though. Rechecked system and found thermostat is not opening properly. Recommend replacement.

During assembly, found coolant reservoir cracked and seeping. Installed new reservoir and cap assembly. Bled cooling system and test drove vehicle. Engine no longer overheating, but heater is still not warm. Checked hose temps with IR thermometer. Found inlet and outlet temps very different. Suspect bad heater core not flowing properly.
