- Inspected vehicle for customer concern. No error codes stored in engine nor transmission control modules. Found engine oil slightly low, and drivetrain noise present at times. Unable to duplicate power loss or burning smell. Rechecked transmission fluid and found fluid dark and some particulate present. Recommend replacement of transmission fluid as first step.
- Drained transmission fluid. Inspected fluid for debris or contamination. Fluid is dark, but no excess clutch nor bearing material found in fluid. Refilled transmission with fresh fluid to spec. Cycled transmission through gears and rechecked level. Topped off fluid and reinstalled intake and battery components. Test drove vehicle 40+ miles. Engine running normally and no further drivetrain noise presented itself.
