    • Confirmed customer concern. Checked power and ground to starter. Found starter is getting proper power, but not engaging. Removed intake piping, air filter housing, and upper intake manifold. Disconnected starter wiring and removed starter from engine. Bench tested old starter, still not responding. Installed new starter unit and connected wiring. Reinstalled intake manifold and associated components. Tested starter operation. Starter now working properly.
    • After recovering refrigerant from hvac system we disconnected the battery to allow vehicle to sleep and shut off all electronics and airbags. Removed center console, glove box, dashboard panels and radio/climate controls. Removed steering column and instrument cluster , all dash bolts and hardware was removed. Proceeded to pull out entire dash to gain access to hvac box/assembly. Removed AC lines at firewall. Removed wiring and connectors for blend motors , temp sensors and disconnected heater hoses at firewall. Removed entire HVAC box from housing and opened hvac case to replace evaporator. Installed new unit into housing and connected all components and transferred over to new unit. Reassembled entire vehicle in reverse order and recharged system with refrigerant. Tested AC and verified it now blows cold again and no leaks are present at this time.
    • Removed engine cover, breather hoses, and ignition components. Removed valve cover from engine. Performed valve adjustment on all intake and exhaust valves. Installed valve cover with new gasket and spark plug tube seals. Removed spark plugs. Cleaned spark plug tubes of any debris or oil residue. Installed new spark plugs and torqued to spec. Installed new valve cover washers on hardware and torqued to spec. Reinstalled breather hoses to valve cover.

    • Inspected vehicle for customer concern. Removed lower dash trim and disconnected steering column from splined shaft to steering rack. Rotated wheel one tooth and reinstalled. Secured steering column hardware and test drove. Wheel now straight. Reinstalled trim pieces.

    • Remove engine covers and shields to gain access to valve cover housing. Unbolt valve cover and remove from engine. Once cover is removed we then remove ignition coils to gain access to spark plug housing. Remove all 4 spark plugs and install new plugs into cylinders and torque to factory specification. Checked valve clearance with feeler gauge to check lash specs. Re adjusted to factory specification and reassembled vehicle. Test drove after servicing to verify repairs.
    • Drain cooling system completely. Flush system with water. Refill system with correct coolant. Bleed cooling system. Test drive to confirm proper cooling system operation. Top off coolant.
    • Remove intake duct from throttle body actuator and manually cleaned valve with carbon deposit.

    • Performed a full system scan and downloaded dtc fault code 64 sensor power voltage failure at abs control module.Disconnected abs control module and inspected pins and pin 35 to look for a possible short.Connected volt meter to pin 35,started vehicle and checked voltage.Found voltage at less then 0.1 volt and has continuity to ground on pin 35,Inspected wiring harness for damage and connector and found ok.Disconnected steering angle sensor and found short present, checked continuity and found good.Removed center circuit and disconnected yaw sensor and found short to ground went away. reconnected module and steering angle senor and inspected reference voltage out of module.Found voltage is still missing, inspected powers and grounds including fuses and found all good .On further inspection found yaw rate sensor shorted to ground faulty which burned out capacitor in abs control unit.Recommend Replace yaw sensor and abs control unit.Advised customer and declined repairs at this time.
    • scanned vehicle for fault codes and found none present or stored. inspected for computer monitor readiness and found 7 out of 8 set.Catalyst monitor not set,Recoomend to perform a drive cycle to pass monitor.Performed a drive cycle and passed all computer monitors ready for smog.
    • Verified customers concern and found oil pan gasket leaking engine oil ,removed all necessary components to gain access to engine oil pan gasket,Cleaned all areas and sealed oil pan as courtesy to customer as recommended.intalled all components removed.Verfied operation and found no leaks present from engine oil pan.

    • During inspection found battery terminals loose and not fully seated properly. Re seated battery terminal and tightened and inspected for play and found no play and staying in place at this time.Cycled vehicles key on and off and found vehicle starting normal with no issues.
    • Wipers streaking. Brake fluid dark and contaminated. Valve cover gaskets leaking. Timing belt is old. Valve adjustment due by time and mileage. Power steering pump has a leak. Air filter dirty. Cabin filter dirty. Engine has oil residue present from leak(s). Oil filter adapter leaking. Oil level overfilled, and vehicle
    • During inspection visually inspected timing belt and found worn and starting to crack and due to mileage, recommend timing belt replacement. Removed passenger front tire. Removed splash shields and passenger inner wheel well. Drained cooling system. Removed serpentine belt and accessories. Removed crank pulley. Removed timing covers and gaskets. Loosened timing belt tensioner and locked tensioner into release position. Removed timing belt from engine. Removed water pump from engine. During inspection found oil pump leaking internally. Recommend replacement of oil pump assembly. After replacing oil pump, installed new water pump and gasket. Installed new idler pulleys and tensioner assembly. Routed new belt and released tensioner. Rotated engine by hand to check correct timing of cams. All ok. Cleaned timing covers and reinstalled covers. Installed crankshaft pulley. Installed new belt tensioner and idler pulley. Reinstalled intake, hoses, and plenum after completion of valve adjustment procedure. Reinstalled coils and wiring. Filled and bled cooling system. Test started engine and checked for any leaks or other running issues. All ok. Reinstalled splash shield, wheel well, and engine cover. Test drove vehicle, OK.
    • Removed intake plenum, intake, hoses, and wiring from upper engine to access valve covers. Removed ignition coils. Removed valve covers for access to timing components. Cleaned valve covers and cylinder head mounting surfaces. Removed spark plugs. After replacement timing belt was installed, performed valve lash adjustment. After setting all valves to correct lash, installed new spark plugs. Torqued plugs to spec. Reinstalled valve covers with new gaskets.
    • During inspection found oil filter stand gasket leaking engine oil.Disconnected drive belt from engine accessories. Removed coolant hoses and wiring to filter housing and pressure sensor. Removed oil filter housing. Cleaned mounting surfaces and reinstalled filter housing with new gasket, seals, and oil filter. Reconnected hoses and wiring. Reinstalled drive belt. After completion of repairs, refilled engine with oil. Test drove vehicle and rechecked for oil leaks. No further leaks found at this time.
    • Steam clean vehicle to remove oil residue and debris build up.
    • Lubricate and check chassis. Change oil and oil filter. Check air filter and breather filter. Check all fluid levels and tire pressures.
    • Replace wiper blades on vehicle.
    • Replace engine air filter.
    • Replace cabin filter element. Reassemble filter housing and access panels.
    • Check brake fluid for moisture and contamination. Inspect all hydraulic line and hoses. Inspect calipers and wheel cylinders. Inspect master cylinder and cap. Drain and refill entire brake system including master cylinder, calipers, wheel cylinders. Bleed system until clean fluid is seen.

    • Remove and reinstall four wheels and rear brake drums (if applicable) to inspect brake condition. Inspect entire system for leaks. Test drive vehicle and check brake operation. Lining remaining is: Front ( 11mm) Rear ( 8mm). Found front brake pads contaminated with grease or anti-squeal paste on friction surface. Also found rear brake rotors have heat glazing present. Recommend resurfacing front rotors and pads to eliminate contamination and recheck system.
    • Removed front wheels and brake components. Surfaced rotors with friction discs. Scuffed brake pads and removed all anti-squeal paste from brake pads. Reinstalled cleaned pads and rotors using new hardware. Added anti-squeal paste to backs of brake pads. Reinstalled calipers and wheels. With rear wheels removed, also surfaced rear brake rotors to help eliminate glazing. Test drove vehicle after completion of repairs and maintenance items. No further brake squeal or grinding found at this time.
    • Checked vehicle for service and maintenance needs. Engine air filter dirty. Drive belt cracking. Oil level and condition good. Lower control arm bushings cracked and starting to tear. Recommend monitoring for any excess play or clunking noises. Other fluid levels and conditions ok. Battery passed load test. No coolant leaks noted. Found all brake lights inop.
    • Removed engine covers and intake piping. Released belt tensioner and removed drive belt from engine. Inspected pulleys and engine accessories for any play, noise, or roughness. Routed new drive belt and released tensioner. Reinstalled intake piping and engine covers.
    • Replaced engine air filter.
    • Removed both tail light housings and 3rd brake light assembly to access bulbs and check for proper power and ground. Replace bulbs with new units and reinstall lights. Recheck light functions. All exterior lights now working properly.

    • Customer states key needs to be pressed multiple times to unlock vehicle. Replace battery and recheck.
    • Inspected vehicle for dash operation. Confirmed components are intermittent in function. Checked for any communication errors or codes. None found suspect dash is failing internally. Recommend replacement of display to correct issue.
    • Perform multi-step polish of both headlight housings. Seal after polishing. Adjust and aim headlights if needed.
    • Replace cabin filter element. Reassemble filter housing and access panels.
    • Replace front brake pad linings and replace front brake disc rotors. Clean and lubricate brake calipers and slide mechanisms. Check and fill brake fluid. Bleed air from system. Road test vehicle.

    • Checked vehicle for customer concern. Found vehicle running and driving after sitting for a bit. No check engine light present. No error codes stored at this time. Visually inspected vehicle and found intake boot torn and letting in unfiltered air. Also found excess carbon and debris buildup on throttle body. Recommend replacement of intake boot, and performing throttle body cleaning to prevent throttle body from getting stuck.
    • Perform throttle body and intake cleaning with BG fuel system. Add injector cleaner to fuel tank. After completion of cleaning, installed new intake boot. Cleaned dirt and debris from MAF sensor before reinstalling. Test drove vehicle and confirmed proper operation of engine and throttle body, OK.
