- Inspected vehicle for oil leaks. Found splash shields under vehicle covered in oil residue. Removed splash shields and found oil dripping from oil pan drain plug. Recommend replacement of drain plug and seal and inspecting oil pan for any damage. Removed drain plug and seal. Caught oil in clean pan to reuse since it was still clean. Checked pan, plug, and seal. Pan ok, but seal is old and hard. Cleaned pan and installed new drain plug and seal. Added oil to engine and rechecked pan for leaks, no further leak present at this time. Cleaned oil residue from oil pan and splash shields. Reinstalled splash shields and test drove vehicle. Rechecked for signs of leaks, no further leak present.
