Services Performed
- Includes: Change engine oil and filter. Check transmission fluid level and adjust as needed. Check coolant condition and pressure check system. Check brake fluid level and condition. Check power steering fluid level and condition. Check belts; coolant, fuel, and vacuum hoses for damage/degradation. Check antenna operation (if applicable). Lube all doors and latches. Tighten door brake fasteners. Lube hood hinges and latch. Check differential fluid level. Check axle boots, CV joints, and/or U-Joints for damage. Check wheel bearings for play. Check parking brake operation. Check for fluid leaks. Check interior and exterior lights. Check wiper and washer jet operation. Check tire wear and condition. Set tire pressures to specification. Vacuum cowl. Check intake and cabin air filters. Test drive vehicle.
- Checked vehicle for signs of excess oil use, or leaks. None present at this time. Due to mileage and a quart every 1500-2000 miles is normal. Recommend monitoring.
- During service inspection, found coolant low and residue present around upper radiator hose. Recommend replacement of hose and associated coolant pipe. Removed drive belts, intake piping, and engine covers to access and remove hose and pipe. Cleaned residue from area before installing new hose and pipe. Reassembled drive belts and intake piping. Filled coolant reservoir and tested cooling systme. Found coolant level still reading low, but reservoir is full. Replaced reservoir with new unit with integrated level sensor. Sensor now reading properly, but coolant system is overheating at times. Checked system and found water pump is not activating at times (electrical pump not turning on). Recommend replacement of water pump.
- Replace engine air filter.
- Replace cabin filter element. Reassemble filter housing and access panels.
- Replace wiper blades on vehicle.
- Removed intake piping and supercharger drive belt. Disconnected wiring and vacuum lines. Removed mounting hardware and removed supercharger assembly from engine. Inspected components under manifold. Confirmed pump will not turn on even with power directly applied. Removed pump from engine and replaced with new unit. After replacement of water pump and associated hardware, reinstalled supercharger assembly. Connected wiring, vacuum lines, and intake piping. Reinstalled drive belt and engine covers. Test drove vehicle after completion of repairs. No further cooling system issues present at this time.
