    • Removed differential drain plug and fill plug. Drain plug is stripped out. Installed new drain plug and filled differential with fresh fluid to spec. Reinstalled fill plug.
    • Drained transfer case fluid. Installed drain plug and filled with fresh gear oil. Installed fill plug. Tested transfer case operation, OK.
    • Test drove vehicle and confirmed suspension has some play or looseness present. Inspected components on rack. Found struts and shocks work, but not leaking. Outer tie rod ends have some play present in joints. Rear sway bar link boots are torn, and joints have play. Recommend replacement of worn components and aligning vehicle.
    • Removed front wheels and brake components. Disconnected struts from steering knuckles. Removed upper mounting hardware and removed struts from vehicle. Installed new strut assembly into vehicle. Torqued strut mounting hardware to spec and connected suspension. Reinstalled brakes and wheels. Test drove vehicle to check suspension, OK. After alignment test drove vehicle again. Suspension working properly.
    • With front suspension disassembled, disconnected tie rod ends from steering knuckles. Removed tie rods from rack. Installed new tie rod ends to match installed length of original units. Connected tie rods to spindles and installed new castle nut and cotter pins.
    • Removed rear wheels. Disconnected shock mounting hardware from suspension. Removed upper shock mounts and removed shocks from vehicle. Installed new shock to upper mounts using original hardware. Compressed shocks and reattached to suspension mounting points.
    • With rear tires removed, disconnected sway bar links from suspension arms and sway bar. Cleaned debris from area and installed new end links and hardware. Cycled suspension and torqued hardware to spec. Reinstalled rear wheels and test drove vehicle after alignment. Suspension no longer feels wobbly or loose.
    • Performed 4 wheel alignment. Test drive vehicle after repairs to confirm handling characteristics.

    • Confirmed customer concern. Scanned vehicle for error codes. Found code P1604 (Startability Malfunction) present. Cleared error codes and code returned during first start attempt. Checked live data while cranking engine. Engine RPM is present, an no error codes for cam/crank correlation present. Tested fuel pump and relays, OK. Checked ignition and found no spark present on any cylinders. Checked freeze frame data for error code and found engine immobilizer is on. Checked live data and found immobilizer is not deactivating when key is turned. Obtained second key from customer and tested. Original key is working properly, vehicle starts normally. Retried replacement key, and found vehicle would not start. Recommend using original key, and have an OEM replacement made if needed.

    • Vehicle dead upon arrival. Attempted to jump start vehicle, still no start. Found no power present to read error codes. Checked power to fuse box from battery, OK. Checked interior fuse panel for power, OK. Visually inspected starting and charging system components and circuits. Found ground cable had excess resistance during testing. Inspected cables and found connections to chassis covered in corrosion. Removed ground connections, cleaned cables and chassis of rust before reinstalling cables and sealing. Test started vehicle, OK. Cleared error codes and test drove vehicle. Retried starting system multiple times, no further starting issue present. No error codes stored nor pending.

    • Removed skid plates and splash shields to access exhaust system. Disconnected oxygen sensor wiring. Removed exhaust hardware and removed catalytic converter assemblies. Transferred oxygen sensors to replacement catalysts. Cleaned mounting surfaces and exhaust hardware of any corrosion. Installed new catalyst using supplied hardware and gaskets. Reattached sensor wiring. After completion of repairs, cleared error codes and test drove vehicle multiple times. Scanned vehicle. No error codes stored nor pending, and all emissions monitors are set.
    • Replace cabin filter element. Reassemble filter housing and access panel.
    • Check brake fluid for moisture and contamination. Inspect all hydraulic line and hoses. Inspect calipers and wheel cylinders. Inspect master cylinder and cap. Removed damaged brake line from driver side caliper and hose. Installed new OEM replacement. Drain and refill entire brake system including master cylinder, calipers, wheel cylinders. Bleed system until clean fluid is seen.
    • Replace rear brake pads. Clean mounting surfaces. Replace wear sensor as required. Replace brake rotors. Lubricate caliper slides. Adjust parking brake mechanism. Road test vehicle.
    • Perform visual inspection and smog test
    • State Issued Smog Certificate
    • State fee for electronic submission of smog inspection results.

    • Test started vehicle, and found it not entering ready mode properly. WIth jump was able to get vehicle into ready mode and test charging and starting system. Starter draw is normal, and charging system working properly. Scanned vehicle for error codes and found P058A01 (Auxiliary Battery) and P06881F (ECM Power Relay) codes stored. Load tested battery, OK. Checked for proper power to ECU relay and found voltage too low. Rechecked power to relay when grounded to battery, OK. Checked battery ground and found cable not seated properly, causing poor power signal to vehicle from 12v battery. Tightened ground cable and rechecked other power cables, all ok. Cleared error codes and retested vehicle. Vehicle powering on normally, and no error codes returned. Test drove vehicle. No warning lights present.
    • During inspection, found warning present for low key battery. Replaced key fob battery and tested fob operations, all ok. NO further warning present.

    • Inspected vehicle for coolant leak. Found upper radiator hose broken at tee fitting. Recommend steam cleaning engine to remove residue, replace damaged hose, and pressure test system to check for any additional leaks. Drained cooling system. Removed engine covers and splash shields. Disconnected upper hose from engine, radiator, and overflow tank and removed hose from vehicle. Cleaned coolant residue from fittings and installed new hose assembly. Filled cooling system and pressure tested. Pressure holding and no leaks visible. Reinstalled intake piping, engine covers, and splash shields. Bled cooling system and test drove vehicle after cleaning and repairs. Cooling system working properly and no coolant leaks present.
    • Steam clean vehicle to remove coolant residue and debris build up.
    • Replace engine air filter.
    • Replace cabin filter element. Reassemble filter housing and access panels.
    • Air and cabin filters dirty. Service light is illuminated. Peanuts present on driver side of windshield cowl. Wipers are very streaky. Headlights faded and oxidized. Oil cap seeping oil or spilled oil residue present. Front left upper sway bar end link boot torn. Rear differential fluid plug is stripped where allen wrench should attach. Front tires have 6/32"(L) & 4/32"(R) tread remaining. Rear tires have 5/32"(L) & 4/32"(R) tread remaining. Front brake pads have 10mm of friction material remaining. Rear brake pads have 4mm of friction material remaining.

    • Inspected vehicle for service and maintenance needs. Recommend the following items are addressed. Brake fluid dark, recommend exchange. Air and cabin filters dirty. Coolant, transmission, differential, and transfer case fluids should be exchanged. Battery weak and terminals corroded. Replace battery. Rear brakes worn.
    • Check brake fluid for moisture and contamination. Inspect all hydraulic line and hoses. Inspect calipers and wheel cylinders. Inspect master cylinder and cap. Drain and refill entire brake system including master cylinder, calipers, wheel cylinders. Bleed system until clean fluid is seen.
    • Replace engine air filter.
    • Replace cabin filter element. Reassemble filter housing and access panels.
    • Drain and refill transmission fluid.
    • Drain and refill transfer case fluid.
    • Drain and refill differentials.
    • Install new battery. Clean cable ends. Perform battery adaptation to vehicle as needed.
    • Drain cooling system completely. Flush system with water. Refill system with correct coolant. Bleed cooling system. Test drive to confirm proper cooling system operation. Top off coolant.
    • Replace rear brake pads. Clean mounting surfaces. Replace wear sensor as required. Replace brake rotors. Lubricate caliper slides. Adjust parking brake mechanism. Road test vehicle.
