    • Inspected vehicle for AC function. Was able to confirm AC does not get cold and vents only blow at ambient temp. Checked AC pressures, ok. Found temp control not responding to dash inputs. Suspect an issue with cable or temp vent in dash. Diagnosis will require removal of dash and associated HVAC components to find source of issue. Customer declined further diagnosis at this time.
    • Test drove vehicle and found check engine light on. Connected scan tool and checked vehicle for error codes in ECU. Found codes P0300 (Random Cylinder Misfire), P0301 (Cylinder 1 Misfire), and P2181 (Cooling System Performance). Checked live data during test drive and found coolant temp at normal operating temp and cooling fans functioning. No misfires detected during test drive. Vehicle was already warm when test driven. If thermostat is stuck open, this could cause code. Other common cooling system issues are water pump failure or possible head gasket issues. Misfires may be temperature related, or ignition system related. Recommend further diagnosis of cooling system to find source of error. Inspect ignition system for proper function and condition of plugs. Customer requested replacement of spark plugs due to unknown service history and declined further diagnosis of cooling system and related engine codes.
    • Removed engine covers and air intake piping. Disconnected ignition wiring and removed coils. Removed spark plugs and cleaned debris from spark plug tubes and mounting surfaces. Installed new spark plugs and torqued to spec. Reinstalled ignition coils and wiring. Reinstalled intake piping and test started motor. Ignition working normally. Reinstalled engine covers. NOTE: Spark plugs may help clear up misfire issues, but temperature error code is still a concern.
    • Replace wiper blades on vehicle.

Installed new boots over joints and clamped with new pinch clamps. Cleaned grease and residue from body and suspension components. Reassembled front suspension and brakes. Installed new axle bolts. Test drove vehicle and reinspected, all ok.
    • Removed engine covers and intake piping. Disconnected throttle body wiring and connections. Removed old throttle body and gasket. Cleaned mounting surfaces and installed new throttle body and new gasket. Reconnected wiring and intake piping. Programmed new unit to vehicle and performed calibration procedure. All calibrations set properly. Test drove vehicle after repairs to confirm proper throttle body operation. Vehicle driving normal, no check engine light present. Rescanned vehicle and no error codes stored nor pending.
    • Removed intake and vacuum lines for the pump assembly. Removed and replaced pump after moving motor mount and suspending engine. Cleaned mounting surfaces and replaced pump assembly. Reassembled motor mount and reinstalled vacuum lines. Rechecked after test driving, no further leaks at this time.
    • Scanned vehicle for error codes. Found codes stored for throttle body circuits. Cleared codes and rescanned. Throttle body codes returned. Checked wires for proper continuity between ECM and throttle body. All wires ok. Recommend replacement throttle body.

    • Connect scan tool and checked for codes. Numerous codes stored throughout multiple modules. Air bag and check engine light are on dash. Codes in ECU are P3078(Idle Airflow Range) and P0411(Incorrect Airflow). Removed air intake and filter box to check intake for leaks. Commanded air injection pump to turn on via scan tool, pump is operating properly. Added smoke to system and turned pump on again. Found air leaks from both air injection hoses. During inspection, also found intake and throttle body covered with carbon buildup. Recommend replacing air injection hoses and performing a throttle body/intake cleaning.
    • Replace cracked air injection hoses. During repair, perform throttle body and intake cleaning. Clear codes and test drive vehicle to set emissions monitors and recheck for any error lights. Removed intake and engine covers. Removed cracked air injection hoses from pump to intake hose, and from pump to valve. Performed throttle body cleaning procedure while intake is off. Reset throttle body adaptations. Installed new air injection hoses and reinstalled intake piping and engine covers. Performed emissions monitor test via scan tool. After two tries, air injection monitor had not set. Pump is turning on at times during test drive. Noted brake pedal is hard sometimes during test drive. Recommend reattempting in morning with vehicle cold. After sitting over night, retried setting air injection emissions monitor. Monitor will not set via scan tool. Test drove again. Rescanned vehicle for error codes. No codes stored or pending at this time, and no check engine light on dash. Further time needed to diagnose air injection system if monitor does not self set.
