    • Service air conditioner. Check condition of all belts and lines. Evacuate and recharge with reclaimed R-134. Test system performance. Test drove vehicle, was able to duplicate customer's concern. Inspected vehicle belt, AC lines, and components for any damage or wear. All appear ok. Inspected system with black light to check for any leaks, none found. Evacuated refrigerant and only recovered .374kg. Should be .5kg in system. Added dye and recharged system to spec. Reinspected with black light, no current leaks found. Test drove vehicle, and found AC blowing cold even at idle now. Suggest customer drive vehicle and reinspect for leaks if AC performance starts to decline.

Once key was cycled, fault would reset. After a short drive, fault would reappear and multiple control units would store a code for lost communication with ABS control module. Recommend new ABS control module and new front and rear pads and rotors.
    • Remove wheels from vehicle. Inspect brakes. Computer spin balance. Reinstall wheels to vehicle and torque lug nuts to manufacturer's specifications.
    • Removed ABS module cover and disconnected wiring and brake lines. Removed control module and transferred required fittings to new unit. Installed new brake control module and reconnected hydraulic lines. Connected wiring and reinstalled covers. Performed zero point adaptation of new control module. After brake replacement was completed, performed brake bleeding procedure. Confirmed brake fluid was at correct level after bleeding. Test drove vehicle and checked brake operation. Brakes now working properly and no further error codes or loss of communication.

    • Replace rear brake shoes. Clean mounting surfaces. Replace wear sensor as required. Replace brake drums. Lubricate caliper slides. Adjust parking brake mechanism. Performed brake fluid exchange and bled brakes at all corners. Cleared ABS codes, reset module and road tested vehicle. ABS and brake warning lights no longer illuminated and brakes functioning properly.
    • Scanned vehicle for codes. Found code C1344 (Rear Left brake hydraulic circuit) stored in ABS module. Computer not allowing brake fluid into left rear circuit. Pressed brake pedal and engaged parking brake, but was still able to rotate left rear wheel by hand. Inspected left rear wheel and brake line, no leaks found. Removed rear wheel and brake drum. Found brake shoes worn out and allowing brakes to travel too far before engaging. Computer sees excess fluid flow as a possible leak and shuts off rear wheel circuit. Recommend rear brake shoes, drums, and a brake fluid flush. After brake service, reset ABS control module and recheck system.
